LOBVILLE homestay is the ideal location for a change from the bustling city life. It is a mere 2 hour drive away from Mumbai, approx. 90 kms away. We are located in Nasrapur in Karjat which is the quintessential little village/town in Maharashtra.
With close proximity to a winding stream, mango farms as far as the eyes can see, it has a charming rural setting. Lobville transports you to simpler times that we all would like to experience.
Every day is a different adventure and at night you can lie underneath the blanket of the night sky and star gaze or see the airplanes circling above prior to landing or admire the natural beauty that we as city dwellers do not have the time or scope to view. The property itself has many types of fruiting trees and flowering plants. Spending time with nature not only de-stresses but adds to your mental health. Take time to look at the butterflies, the flowers, insects, rocks and leaves and expose your children too to what nature has to offer and also to reflect, discern, plan or to experience serenity. Watch your children expressing themselves. This connection with nature will always be cherished.
In addition to the patio, the pergola is one of the most relaxing spaces and provides a 180 degree view of the entire property. Grab a book and a cup of chai and it's the perfect recipe for rejuvenation.
There is the Tata Bhivpuri stream flowing just approx. 102 metres away i.e. walking distance, so that you can soak yourself in the flowing stream. If lucky you may also see some locals catching crabs or fishes.
Lobville strikes the perfect balance between your everyday city comforts and the rustic, peaceful, hearty farmland that is seen around.. There is even a veggie patch and herb garden behind the house that has been lovingly nurtured by us and our housekeeper. The most unique aspect of this property is the many fish tanks of many shapes and sizes filled with koi carps, goldfishes, mollies or guppies - you can ask to feed them!
What started as a passion project for us is now being shared with you.
A 15 minute drive into the village centre and you can find reasonable eateries nearby. But we have included Lunch, Tea, Dinner and Breakfast made especially by the locals so that you can enjoy the place around and spend more time on the premises and be with the friendly dogs or butterflies circling around the flowers. Being on the slope gives you as chance to check on your fitness levels too.
On rainy days, you will stand a good chance of seeing peacocks in their glory.
The summers (March - June) here are humid but the sweet mangoes make it all worth it.
The winters (Nov. - Feb) give way to crisp and chilly evenings.
The monsoons (July - Oct.) create a green carpet all over the farm.
